Shoe Report Friday: Sophisticated Style
I have been a fan of Karen Millen for a number of years now. Her garments and footwear speak to my very soul. She embodies everything that I love about fashion. It is no secret that I am the ultimate girly girl and I have a hard time toning things down at times. Its just who I am...embedded in my DNA is the code of a true Fashionista. LOL...no seriously. Another Super FAB Collab!!!
Payless expands relationship with designer Siriano
NEW YORK (Oct. 25) Payless announced that it has expanded its relationship with designer Christian Siriano. Under the new agreement, Siriano will now offer as many as 20 shoe and handbag styles exclusively for Payless each season.
The newly expanded line is expected in stores next fall and will be refreshed twice a year.
"I am so happy to expand my relationship with Payless. They've been fabulous to work with, and I am always so proud of the designs and to see women enjoy wearing them each season!" said Siriano. "This expanded Payless collection, for me, is an opportunity to branch out even more and reach more women with my designs. I'll draw inspiration from lots more everyday elements -- street fashion, architecture, traveling and landscapes -- to create amazing looks including a range of boots, casuals, flats, sandals and handbags in addition to dress styles."

I personally can not wait to see what Christian rolls out! I was a huge fan of his from his Project Runway days and I knew early on that he would have an amazing career in fashion.
My only issue with this is will they be able to keep his shoes in stock so that I can finally get my hands on a pair? Let's hope I'm the early bird this time!

Monday Money Saving Tip
I know SHOPPING could be a therapy! An expensive one! Making the right decision logically is the best way to go shopping! Never just go shopping due to emotions, if you do please make sure the money you will be using is something you have put aside just for that purpose!!!
For all the FASHIONISTAS: Did you know that most retailers set goals monthly, quarterly and annually to achieve sales goals? What is the importance of knowing this? Well, well, you need to plan your RETAIL JOURNEY at those times, they are cutting prices to achieve their sales goals! SAVINGS! Tell me one person who does not like saving money??
This may be something EXTREME but if a salesperson is not willing to reduce the price, ask to speak with the manager. It doesn't hurt to ask for price reduction, you just have to have GUTS!!!

Being a woman we need to learn a lot about our body, as life happens so does the reaction of our skin. From pregnancy, hormonal fluctuations, travel, medications to seasonal changes we need to learn or to recognize the myriad skin conditions, to be able to select the right moisturizers and cleansing options.

Women don't just carry a bag....they WEAR a bag. Handbags are an extension of the overall outfit. Therefore it must reason and represent with the overall persona that WE women are going for that day.
Handbags have gone from a cutsie lil carrying container for our lipstick and wallet to a gargantuan monstrosity that is the focal point before the outfit is seen. Women pick and chose their bags wisely and creatively.
The bag is almost the solitaire diamond of a completed outfit. It can accent or stand alone. It's and attitude of leather, pvc, reptile and hardware...that says, "My style is violent so don't !@#$ with me."
LOL. Truthfully, I love bags. Not sure if I told your all before, but my bags have their own closet. They don't play fair with my shoes so I had to separate them. *giggle*
I love that designers are now venturing out into creating handbags with more color, texture, and unconventional mediums. The more unique and eclectic the bag, the bigger the impact on people watchers. Oh yes, shock value and over the top style is the IN thing. So, if you're gonna dumb down your outift, definitely ROCK OUT with your bag. Somebody is watching you. :)

Its so BIG!
Remember when accessories were, prim, prissy, and proper? Well no more...SIZE MATTERS and BIGGER IS BETTER! Multi-strand necklaces and over sized rings are turning Lil LuLu into Linda Lovelace. LOL. Ok Ok...that's a little extreme, but hey....accessories have gone to the extreme. There is nothing small about it anymore.
Seeee! And you thought I was being funny. Fashion is giving us the ok sign to put the WOW in our jewelry boxes. Conservative accessories are boooorrrrring and say absolutely nothing. You want a little sparkle or a blinding shine...GO BIG!
Sure we still want diamonds, platinum, and gold. Let's not get carried away. But, why limit yourself and your closet. There a whole new world of accessorizing out there and its HUGE. Fashion jewelry is a conversation piece.
